Sustainability FAQS

What is adulterated honey ?

Adulterated honey means that the honey has been tampered with and is not a pure product.  Adulterated honey is often called fake honey and may have any variety of sugars added to the final product or fed to the bees in order to produce it.

Why is beekeeping good for the environment ?

Beekeeping is good for the environment because honey bees provide pollination services by visiting plants and moving pollen between them.  Humans rely on pollination services for ⅓ of the food that they eat. Beekeeping also places an economic incentive on protecting plants, because they are valuable to beekeepers as nectar producing units.
